Damian Werg - 2018 Finalist - Germany

Only 2 weeks left before the final of Linie The Journey in Oslo. This year we will have 13 candidates from 7 countries competing. A small presentation of each candidate will be posted in this group in the coming days, starting with Damian Werg, candidate from Germany:

• Tell us about yourselves and where you work:

My name Damian Werg, 24 years old from Münster in Germany.

I have been working as a professional bartender the last two and a half years.

My bar is called Rotkehkchen Wohnraum mit Küche &Bar. It is a small restaurant and cocktail bar as well. We create a lot of different drinks for our “cocktail guided menu’2 with fresh and regional ingredients that are usually found in the kitchen.

• Tell us briefly about the idea behind your Linie cocktail:

The idea behind my cocktail was to bring together 2 different countries that are rich in culture and traditions, with very elegant and smooth aromas. I take one tradition (sake) and combine it with another strong Norwegian tradition, Aquavit. The are perfectly mixable and you can still taste both in the cocktail .
